Minister Richard Gordon 
Richard, a certified sky and scuba diver as well as a lifestyle motorcyclist, is an easygoing extravert with a missionary fervor and a servant's heart! He has lived in Texas since 1968. Although born in Idaho and moving continuously while growing up, he is proud to say he is now and always will be a Texan.
God placed a call on Richard Gordon's life as a young man but, like many people, he got busy with life and ignored His voice. As he got older and experienced the hardships, to which we humans are prone, he began searching for a peace, a "rightness" that seemed to be missing in his daily existence. Eventually, he surrendered himself to God, accepted Christ as his personal Savior, and found to his joy that His call was still upon him. He has been serving as a full time, bi-vocational Minister for the past five years with a specialty for those outside the conventional boundaries of church and society.
When asked about his Ministry, Richard explains;
"I have lived a rich and varied life. Although I have known great highs and terrible lows; I love doing what God wants me to do. I love the process of becoming the person He created me to be. He has given me the wonderful ability through my life experiences to relate to a wide variety of people from many backgrounds and all walks of life. It gives me great pleasure to meet new people, and to serve as a conduit for God's love and mercy in their lives. Being adaptable and knowing how to listen, I am empathetic to the needs of others and gifted at crafting solutions that fit their unique needs and desires."
Richard has been a husband, a father and a single parent having to learn to be both mother and father. To this day, one of his favorite moments is opening the Mother's Day card he received from his son and who recently made him a Grandfather! For Richard, joy is a choice and one his desires to share with everyone whom he comes in contact by working together to create joyful situations. Believing that weddings are joyous occasions full of hope for the future; he finds immense satisfaction in participating in this mystical experience and is humbled to be invited to share the moment when you as a couple commence on one of life's grandest journeys!
